How Do You Win in Ringette?
Ringette is a fast‑paced, possession‑focused ice sport where teams score by shooting a rubber ring into the opponent’s net using a straight stick. The team with the most goals at the end of the game wins. Strategy, teamwork, and quick passing are at the heart of the sport, making it exciting to play and watch.
Required Safety Gear
Ringette players wear protective equipment similar to hockey, but with a few sport‑specific differences. Standard gear includes:
- CSA‑approved helmet
- Ringette‑specific helmet cage
- Neck guard
- Shoulder pads
- Elbow pads
- Gloves
- Shin guards
- Girdle and pants
- Skates
- Ringette stick
This equipment keeps players safe while allowing them to move quickly and handle the ring with precision.

Where We Play and Who We Play Against
Our club is part of the Northern Ringette League, competing with teams from Houston, Smithers, Terrace, and Prince George. Because some communities have smaller player numbers, our athletes often partner with Prince George for tournament play. We also travel to other divisions for tournaments outside the Northern Ringette Association when opportunities arise. This gives our players a chance to experience a wide range of competition and build strong connections across the region.
